Cyril Varley (26th February 1926 - 17th February 2000) played two parts on Coronation Street: the Taxi Driver who took Annie Walker to her appointment of the opening of the Brookside Motel in February 1971 and the Driver of the car taking Ernie Bishop to his wedding in April 1972, six years after appearing in the spin-off Pardon the Expression. His other credits include Hadleigh, Crown Court and Juliet Bravo.
