France Nuyen, born France Nguyen (b. 1939), is a French-born actress who, due to being half-Vietnamese and half-French, was often called upon to play Asian or otherwise exotic roles in American television and film, beginning with her debut in the 1958 musical South Pacific. During the 1960s she appeared in a variety of series, ranging from I Spy (she was in fact married to its star, Robert Culp, for several years), to the original Star Trek in which she appeared as Elaan of Troyius.
