The Soda Village is a Village in the north-central part of the island (Parataiso Motu). The village got it's name after the Soda Corporation Mountain Dew set up a giant 10 meter high Mountain Dew bottle as an ad. When the ad was supposed to be removed, the villagers protested while pressuring the gonvernment on funds to keep the giant bottle. It all ended in that the gonvernment payed Pepsi Co. (owners of Mountain Dew) 720 thousand dollars, plus 25 thousand every year for maintriance fee to Pepsi Co. The gonvernment earned almost the double amount speded on the ad in just one year.
