In the mid 1990s a new variant, called the Carpați Model 1995, was developed. It`s caliber was increased to the .380 ACP round at the expense of magazine capacity(7 rounds) but with longer effective range (15 meters). It also comes in the .22 LR round. Both variants of the Model 95 are offered for export.
