A derogatory term used to refer to casual gamers who play online (mainly) first person shooter games. The term originates due to casual gamers being more likely to play on weekends than mid week due to work, family and study commitments. The term is borrowed from slang used in the military to describe army reservists (where it is if anything, even more derogatory). Also used sometimes for casual sports players, where the term has medical relevance because being physically active only one day a week puts you at high risk of a heart attack. The term may also refer to the US National Guard.
