Season 14 of American Idol premiered on January 7, 2015 and ended on May 13, 2015 on Fox. Host Ryan Seacrest returned as did judges Harry Connick, Jr., Keith Urban, and Jennifer Lopez. Big Machine Records president and CEO Scott Borchetta was the in-house mentor, replacing Randy Jackson. This season was the last for executive producer Pers Blankens, who left the show after two seasons. The season was won by 29 year old Connecticut singer Nick Fradiani.
