The Brotherhood of Guardians were a group of Echidnas native to the reality known as Dark Mobius. While they shared much of their history with the version of the group from Mobius Prime, their timeline diverged when the youngest of their number, Knuckles, became the latest incarnation of Dark Enerjak. As Knuckles' policies for bringing "peace" to Dark Mobius grew more radical, the Brotherhood grew increasingly opposed to them. In particular, they disagreed with Knuckles' employment of the Dark Legion, and the dispute grew to the point where Knuckles responded violently to their objections, with Spectre bearing the brunt of his wrath.
