Salahi was a male individual who served as a professor and was the lead scientist of the Galactic Republic's Special Weapons Group during the Clone Wars. The Special Weapons Group was tasked with constructing a massive superweapon for the Republic, a mobile battle station which would later be known as the Death Star. At the end of the Clone Wars the Republic was transformed into the Galactic Empire, however work on the battle station project continued in the form of Project Celestial Power. Early into the Empire's reign, Salahi was present on the planets Malpaz and Hypori, where he and other Celestial Power scientists continued work on the battle station's weapon.
