Frumster is an online dating service aimed at Orthodox Jewish singles. Frumster which is play on the term frum and the social networking website Friendster asserts its adherence to Orthodox values and is often featured in the Jewish media. The website was originally found as Dosidate in 1997, but relaunched as Frumster in 2001. The site, which offers a free and premium subscription, boasts a membership of over 30,000 and is the largest Orthodox Jewish online dating service and claims to have matched 1222 members since its creation December 2001. In 2005, it announced its 500th wedding.
