Talonir Riv was a human wizard who specialized on conjuration and transmutation, though also showing an interest for necromancy. He was especially knowledgeable in bestowing and removing curses. About 260 years ago, Talonir constructed a tower to the northwest of Pinedale where he lived and conducted his arcane research. Several years after Talonir settled down in his tower, he mysteriously disappeared. His tower still stands though, abandoned and overrun by his magical servants. What happened to Talonir is unknown, but some claim that his body was eventually found and buried in the Tarloc catacombs.
