Behavioral Standards Committees were special deliberative assemblies organized by the Earth Union. Their task was to ensure that all of society's heroes of literature and entertainment demonstrated "model-worthy behavior" to the citizenry, effectivly censoring countless classical works of art published before the Green Awakening. They even went so far as to retroactively restrict books that had been distributed to readers in the off-world habitats of the Sol System, including the libraries of the Outbound Operations Administration's colony ships.
