The Essence of Despair is a treasure in Pikmin 2, found on the second sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos. It is dropped by one of three Fiery Bulblaxes, so Red Pikmin are a must when retrieving it. This treasure is actually a jade fashoined into jewelry, taking on a very circular form, and it resembles the Sagittarius and Libra from Pikmin 1 in that respect. It is part of the Space Love Series .
