Challenge Tasks were a feature of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain introduced in the December 2015 update, and later expanded on the May 2016 update. They allowed the player to conduct various challenges and earn various prizes as a result. On May 10, 2016, they introduced special online challenges that allowed for the player to complete certain objectives that are introduced per week. The first set will last from May 10 to June 28, at which point the rewards will cut off.
