Benika's Tears, named after the Hand of the Jade Dragon Matsu Benika, was a vast field of crystal outcroppings in the Unknown Lands. Massive outcroppings of crystal, some of them the size of entire castles, were jutting up from the earth at strange angles. Some of them had almost looked like some manner of gigantic teeth. The place was discovered by Kaiu Onizuka in 1198, who believed it was not a natural occurrence because there should not be crystal in this region.
