Iomic crystal was a purple crystal found on the island of Ioma in the Nelanther Isles. After the Spellplague, the mineral was believed to have anti-magic properties and the Amnish mined it and turned it into amulets to ward off wild magic. It was later found that the crystal had no special properties but the Amnish continued to mine and sell the stones as amethyst.
