Around thirty days after Emergence Day, Axford was part of the effort to defend the city of Halvo Bay from a huge Locust assault. During a battle in the Seahorse Hills, Axford's commanding officer shot Axford for cowardice and desertion. Axford's COG Tag was later recovered by Pvt. Garron Paduk of Kilo Squad.
