The Hermosa Quake was a major earthquake that occurred on Earth in the year 2047. During the event, the quake struck the region of southern California surrounding Los Angeles. The land sank under two hundred meters of water. In the ensuing centuries, the region recovered, having transformed into one of the world's largest coral reefs.
