Darth Maul was a Zabrak Sith lord and the first apprentice of Darth Sidious. Maul was taken from his family at a young age and trained in the ways of the Sith. He was a vital participant in the Blockade of Naboo crisis where he killed Qui-Gon Jinn before being sliced in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Amazingly he survived his bisection and long fall into the shaft he and Obi-Wan were fighting over. He returned during the Clone Wars. Maul was red skinned and covered in black Sith tattoos as a way of terrifying his enemies.
