The 17th Air Division (17th AD) is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with Pacific Air Forces, stationed at U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield, Thailand. It was inactivated on 1 January 1986 Activated as the 17th Bombardment Wing on 18 December 1940 and assigned to Southeast Air District as a bombardment training organization. Apparently never had sufficient personnel to carry out effectively its mission. Inactivated on 3 September 1941.
