Turner worked regularly from the 1950's to the 90's, gaining over eighty television and film credits. His television credits include roles on The Avengers (in the episode Have Guns - Will Haggle which featured Timothy Bateson and Roy Stewart), Armchair Theatre, Callan, Van der Valk, Barlow at Large, Z-Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, The New Avengers, Within These Walls, Play for Today, Crossroads and The Bill.
