Jean Rose is the wife of Jonathan Rose, and is one of the survivors living in Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania. Like her husband, Jean is a pious woman. Upon meeting Joseph Capelli and Dr. Malikov she believed them to be sent to her people as a sign of hope in ridding Satan. She told them that if Capelli could find Jonathan and bring him back safely, she would have Jonathan repair the broken train so Capelli and Malikov could continue their journey to New York City. Capelli was able to kill Satan and rescue Jonathan. When Capelli and Malikov were about to depart Capelli asked them, as a final request, to pray for the safety of him and Malikov.
