In the 2010s, rock music will steadily continue to die out while a newer cleaner generation will take over the music scene. As with the aging Baby Boomer generation, rock music will become what is considered "old people music" as jazz and big bands used to be a few decades ago. Many classic rock icons are in their 60s and 70s and some are starting to pass away. The radio, especially satellite and internet radio will become more popular as music downloads and iPods will be less popular.
