Cyan Garamonde is a samurai or knight depending on which version of the game, and retainer in the ill fated kingdom of Doma. He is loyal to the crown, and bound by honor to serve his king. Cyan has a son, Owain, and a wife Elayne, both of whome whom meet a terrible demise when Kefka Palazzo poisons the reservoir to the kingdom's water supply. He is the only survivor of this heinous act, and swears revenge against Kefka and the empire.
