Rebecca Laurel Gallaudet was a Starfleet line officer, and Starfleet Academy instructor, active in the 23rd and 24th centuries. She was born in 2238 to Mark Gallaudet and Mary (née Adamley) Gallaudet. She had an older sister, Maureen. When she was five years old, her father died in an accident. While neither of her parents were in Starfleet, her paternal grandmother Kristen Gordon had made a career in the service. During Gallaudet's next ten years on that vessel, she was promoted to lieutenant commander and chief navigator.
