The Korat system was a star system located in the vicinity of Deep Space 9. When a coup d'état on Bajor seemed likely in early 2370, the Starfleet families of DS9 were evacuated to this system aboard the USS Ganges. Jake Sisko was among the evacuees destined for the Korat system. (DS9: "The Siege") This system was only mentioned in dialogue. According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 438) , this system was located in Federation territory.
