Anthony "Tony" S Devenish (born March 1968) is a businessman and Conservative Party politician. A self-employed director in a number of infrastructure, property, utilities and outsourcing companies. He twice stood (in 2001 and 2005) as Conservative candidate for the parliamentary seat of Houghton and Washington, near Sunderland in north east England. In a safe Labour Party seat he was nearly 20,000 votes behind the winner on each occasion, finishing in third place behind the Liberal Democrats in 2005.
