Not very much is known about Mia before she turned ten. There is, however, a bit of information. When she was seven and Miles was eight, they visited Ash's mother's house. Delia still had Mimey with her. Mia and Mimey were alone. Mia tried to play with Mimey, who began trying to attack her. Delia scolded Mimey, and Mia became scared of Mr Mimes. When she was eight, she went to Professor Oak's Pokémon Summer Camp, where she met Evan Swith, who shared many good memories with her.
