The Thoth class of scouts and destroyers were types of Federation starships on active duty in Starfleet during at least the early 24th century. The lead ship and prototype for the class was the USS Thoth (NCC-55800). The Thoths were based on the design of the Ambassador-class heavy cruisers that debuted in the 2220s. A primary hull was connected to one warp nacelle via a pylon. A photon torpedo bay was directly above the warp nacelle.
