Michael Elphick (19th September, 1946 - 7th September, 2002) was a British actor best known for his eponymous title role in the long-running 1980s ITV drama series Boon. On Coronation Street, he played Douglas Wormold in 1974. Michael's other credits include the films Quadrophenia and The Elephant Man, plus roles in television series' such as Smiley's People, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, Three Up, Two Down and EastEnders.
