Packing Droids were labor droids used for loading and unloading cargo. They had a humanoid appearance and were plated with copper. While they were capable of communication with sentients, they were unable to converse in anything else other than their tasks. Lando Calrissian hired several of these at his GemDiver Station near Yavin around 23 ABY. During the Second Imperium's raid on the station, two of these were encountered by the Solo twins and Lowbacca who were trying to evade the Imperial boarders. Later, these two droids were destroyed by the Imperial boarders.
