The Miyamoto Order is the chronology of the Legend of Zelda series according to its creator, Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto provided this order during a 1998 interview for an upcoming Nintendo Power issue. It arranges the games in the following sequence: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, and then The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Miyamoto stated that The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening could take place at any point in this continuum.
