Yesterday Brian Jacques was formally awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University for his contributions to children's literature! Last year, Brian was voted one of the top 10 Merseysiders and received a portrait by artist Micheline Robinson, and in 2005 he received an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from the University of Liverpool. According to the Liverpool Daily Post, Jacques said: Congratulations again Brian!
