When my grandpa died, I thought that it was a long time coming. Don't get me wrong, it was a tragedy, but it wasn't exactly unexpected. He was an old man, his mind half gone, living alone in a house nearly thirty miles out from the nearest town. When the news came in that someone had found him in his home, dead for at least two weeks, I was saddened but not surprised. It was on arriving that morning that I realized something was a little off about that house. I went to sleep that night, and I know that I had one of the dreams. It was waiting for us in the driveway. Then, he stepped on a twig.
