It was always snowy on the top on the mountain even in Khand. It was to tall for anybody to reach the top alive. There are rumors that the mountains were made especially not to be climbed,mined in or taken by evil things. It is also said that the Valar made it so that it could be in Gorbon a realm of good things and not anywhere else. The mountains are protected by the Valar so only another Valar can move it.
