Sludge salamanders were a species native to an uncharted swamp planet in Wild Space which the Graf family temporarily named Graf-World. While Milo Graf, the youngest Graf child, was attempting to capture an ash-rabbit he had discovered in the swamps, the family's droid CR-8R queried if the creature that Graf was pursuing was a sludge salamander or horned billipede.
