In high school he tried to get the International Olympic Committee to make trampolining an official Olympic sport. After failing, he gave up trampolining to play in a band with his high school buddy, Andy Dwyer. The first band they were in together was The Dizzy Dames. After that, their band was called The Dizzy Fellas.
