Melanie Leblais (née Jans; 4 September 1903 – 3 April 2016) was a verified French supercentenarian. Melanie Leblais was born in a French town called Mouais, located in the department Loire-Atlantique. Her parents were Peter and Augustinus (née Blanchais) Jans. As a teenager, she worked as a housekeeper and seamstress in the neighbourhood. Her brother Marcel died of tuberculosis in the late 1910s when he was just 21 years old.
