The male raven is named Rip and the female raven is named Rek by Torak. They're known to be clever and mischievous, and they enjoy stealing belongings and food from Torak and Renn in addition to teasing Wolf, but they also warn them of dangers they're unaware of. When Seshru the Viper Mage forces Torak to spirit walk into a viper and bite a sleeping Renn, she's saved by Rip and Rek driving the snake off. Rip helps Torak discover the Fire Opal shard hidden inside the hilt of his father's knife, and both ravens return Torak the stone marked with his clan tattoo following Seshru's demise.
