Luthien was born during the autumn months of TA 240 in Mirkwood. Daughter of Thranduil and Calathiel, she is raised her first years by both of her parents. She is only four years old when her mother dies in Gundabad in TA 244 ans doesn't understand what is going on. She is then placed under the care of her older brother for years while living with Maethoriel who spends her time in Mirkwood. Luthien grows up well during her first twenty years of life, not knowing what happenned to her mother past years.
