Lydia the Ostrich appeared in episode 103 of The Animal Show, in which she told Stinky and Jake how ostriches live and how they are excellent animal mothers. The puppet used for this character was recycled from Ms. Henrietta Vanderpeen, used in the Bear in the Big Blue House episode "Woodland House Wonderful". She also made an appearance in Muppets from Space. The puppet was later used as Little Miss Kissy Kiss in the Mopatop's Shop episode "Little Miss Kissy Kiss."
