The Kān (/'keɪn/) is a traditional long garment worn by upper class Kelikaar of either gender. It is typically a long, loose-fitting robe made of a light material such as silk, and tied around the waist with a silk cord. There is usually a hole at the back of the garment to make room for a Kelikaar's tail. The bottom hem and cuffs of the Kān are usually trimmed in silk of a different color, usually white. A typical Kān is usually blue, green, brown, or gray. Red, purple, and orange dies are mainly only seen among the fabulously rich, and a pure white Kān may legally only be worn by Keyresh Priests.
