Ariel is Liriels twin, but has no laran. Her parents are Gabriel Lanart and Javanne Hastur. Shes married to Piedro Alar. Her children include Damon,Domenic,Donal,Lewis and Kennard. While at Armida with Marguerida Alton she thinks that Marguerida is dangerous and insits on leaving with her family. She returns after her son Domenic is hurt in a carriage accident,his neck is injured. Marja has a Terran medical kit which includes a suitable neck brace.Marja tells Ariel that Liriel mentioned her current child shes pregnant with is a daughter.
