During 19 November 2016, a vaccine for both Ebola and Zika called EZDK-7 was developed by a joint medical research program by the US, Switzerland, Japan, Eygpt and the UK. After animal testing proved effective, the US began to extend testing to human subjects. The testing was mostly successful, with the exception of three test subjects, who developed rare and severe symptoms, believed to be a rare side effect of the vaccine.
