Minnesota States is the official state yo-yo contest of Minnesota. It is traditionally held in February in conjunction with the Mondo Juggling Festival at Concoria University in Saint Paul. However in 2007 the contest took a turn away from the Mondo Juggling festival. In 2007 the contest was held at the Minnetonka Community Center and in 2008 it was held at the Depot Coffee House in Hopkins, home of the Spin Cities; College for the Easily Amused. Then in 2009 it was held at the Rosedale Mall with Air Traffic Kites and Games as the main sponsor. The same remained true in 2010 and 2011.
