The RG2720FM features a mahogany body with a flame maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with off-set dot position markers. Components include dual DiMarzio/IBZ humbucking pickups, an Edge Pro double locking tremolo bridge and a locking nut. The RG2770FM is a similar model which adds a middle pickup. The RG2720FM was offered only in 2004.
