Hoop Damage is the damage that a fighter receives when they are out of the camera's boundaries, and is present in Super Smash Flash 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The damage is applied at a rate of 1% per second to prevent players from simply hiding near the blast lines of a stage. Unlike the official games, Training Mode also have hoop damage and when a character reaches 150% the damage doesn't stop. Hoop damage wasn't present in Super Smash Flash and was added at v0.9a version of the demo.
