The Biocentric Party was declared founded in 3218, bringing together the animal rights and radical environmentalist movements. During the leadership of Henry Erck and later Johann Zald, in the years 3218-3247, the party was dominated by the libertarian and social-liberal factions. The party fought for environmental regulations and animal rights, and supported poverty relief, but otherwise resisted most attempts by other parties to nationalize industries and regulate the economy. Both aforementioned chairmen were elected Presidents of Mordusia and the party came to hold a majority of the seats in the Reichstag.
