The 1996 Winston Motorsports 300 was a Busch Series event held at South Boston Speedway on June 8, 1996. Todd Bodine won the event, his only of the year, by holding off Mike McLaughlin. David Green struggled to 20th and as a result, Randy LaJoie (5th) closed within 35 points of Green in the points lead.
