Wide body aircarft are usally the fuselage is 5 to 6 meters wide or more, twin aisle passenger planes. The widebody idea was concived around 1960-1970. The first wide body aircarft enterd service on january 22 1970 with the airline Pan am (which went bankrupt in 1991). Soon other companies like Douglas and Lockheed martin soon began devaloping their own wide body carft.
