Lisa Cochrane was a Human woman who lived in the 21st century. She was the mother of Zefram Cochrane, the inventor of warp drive. (TOS novel: Starfleet Academy) She and her husband were both academics at the University of Chicago, and they encouraged their son in his interest in science.
